Today was a holiday, no therapists around to do anything with Shannon. It's been pretty boring, again. She just hung out in her room. She FaceTimed with us for a while, and her plans were to just watch a movie. It's a nice break before her busy week. We have three days of family training this week, which means LOTS of work for Shannon. It's always a mixed bag of feelings- family training. We love to see her, we need to learn how to help her when she's home, but she is always doing way more work when we are there; so I feel bad being there. It's a hard adjustment, these sudden changes in our lives, but I know things will work out and we, especially Shannon, will find a new normal and be happy with the outcome. It may not be how we thought things would be, but I am certain once we adjust to things, Shannon will see the beauty in all of it.

There are only 9 days left before Shannon comes home. She CANNOT WAIT! We can't wait either! And we aren't panicking... not really. okay, maybe a little. There is a lot to get done, but we are at a point where things are waiting on other things. The shower pan needs to be done so the tiling can start. The primer was done today so we can paint tomorrow. Then flooring, trim, etc. I'm sure it'll be done, and if it's not, we have a back up plan. We can accommodate her on our main floor temporarily, and then move her down to her room when it's ready. So no worries about her coming home :D

For those of you who are local and interested in seeing Shannon, we are having a Drive and Wave for her on the 14th of June from 2-3pm. She won't be up for chatting with everyone, but would love to see you all. Message me how you normally would for our address if you don't have it.

Please pray for Shannon to have an extra boost of energy and endurance this week as she works hard to practice the things she's learned, and while we are learning. Pray for her mental state to be more clear and positive so she can see her progress and feel the days pass quickly. Thank you.
